Our Mission Statement

The Emerald City Lights Bike Ride, is a non-profit, charitable and educational organization dedicated to provide to those in need. 
Our goal is to support activities, organizations, and operate programs that work to provide nutrition and 

general humanitarian aid.   Proper nutrition will increase wellness. 

The Daily Bread Basket provides organic food to promote better health.

For Every $75 dollars accumulated, a basket will be given to a special family 

whose names are screened through  different service organizations 

(Red Cross, Boys & Girls Club, Northwest Family Center, Schools and Churches)

within the Puget Sound Area.

Our Special Decorated Baskets Include:  Flour, sugar, jam, peanut butter, canned vegetables, cereal, pancake mix, syrup, eggs, butter, potatoes, salad mix, bread, fresh fruits, onions, cooking oil, pasta, juices, broth, soups, fresh produce from local organic farmers.  Seasonal items for holiday baskets (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter)

Family Responses for Receiving Thanksgiving Baskets for 2007

(We were able to feed 64 Families between the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday)

It allowed us to be more thankful for the Holiday more so, because it allowed us to invite her sister and friends in which she feels more comfortable around in of just her foster family.

My family and I thank Emerald City Lights for the Thanksgiving Basket, we enjoy the holiday basket, filled with goodies, God Bless you, Have a wonderful Thanksgiving .

I learned that without money it's hard to feed your family (or good job or good education).  But, without family, next to God, you have nothing.

I like to say thank u for all the food.  The gift basket was great.  I just was wonder why is all the food organic.  By all means it's healthy but, everyone doesn't eat that.  But I'm still Thankful.
